Washington, D.C. Do the Write Thing Internship Program
For the past 13 years, the Kuwait-America Foundation, primary sponsor of the NCSV, and the Greater Washington Urban League have organized a summer internship program for the District’s “Do the Write Thing” Challenge School Finalists.
The eight-week summer program offers the participants alternatives to violence, as well as positive experiential employment opportunities and leadership development. The program consists of one week of orientation, three weeks of business internships, three weeks of community-based organization internships and one week of closing events.
