Washington, D.C. Do the Write Thing Internship Program
For over a decade, the Kuwait-America Foundation, primary sponsor of the NCSV, and the Greater Washington Urban League organized a summer internship program for the District’s “Do the Write Thing” Challenge School Finalists.
The eight-week summer program offered the participants alternatives to violence, as well as positive experiential employment opportunities and leadership development. The program consists of one week of orientation, three weeks of business internships, three weeks of community-based organization internships and one week of closing events.
