The National Campaign to Stop Violence (NCSV), an initiative of the Kuwait-America Foundation, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-partisan organization composed of community, business, and governmental leaders who have come together to reduce youth violence in communities across the United States.
Do the Write Thing Challenge
The “Do the Write Thing” Challenge Program (DtWT) is a unique education program designed to give middle school students an outlet to communicate in classroom discussions and written form how violence impacts their daily lives.
Washington, D.C. Do the Write Thing Internship Program
For the past 13 years, the Kuwait-America Foundation, primary sponsor of the NCSV, and the Greater Washington Urban League have organized a summer internship program for the District’s “Do the Write Thing” Challenge School Finalists.
Staying Connected
The National Campaign to Stop Violence (NCSV) has created a program called “Staying Connected” wherein NCSV and the Kuwait-America Foundation can keep in touch with Do the Write Thing participants and their parents, teachers, NCSV volunteers and friends.
Do the Write Thing Public Radio Program
The NCSV has partnered with Treehouse Productions to create a series of radio modules on “Do the Write Thing” to air on public radio stations across the nation.
Electronic Archiving of Do the Write Thing Writings
The NCSV is currently working with the company Excel Group to scan all “Do the Write Thing” student writings.
