KAF Celebrates the Inauguration of the Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah Chair at Georgetown University

On February 3, 2016, KAF board member Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah and KAF Chairman, Dr. Hassan Al-Ebraheem attended and delivered remarks as honored guests at the inauguration ceremony for the Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah Chair at the Georgetown University's Center for Contemporary Arab Studies.

KAF Raises $1 Million for UNHCR

Sheikha Rima Al-Sabah Appointed UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador

Philanthropist Sheikha Rima al-Sabah, former journalist and wife of Kuwaiti Ambassador to the United States Sheikh Salem al-Sabah, has been appointed as the UN refugee agency’s (UNHCR) newest National Goodwill Ambassador.

Kuwait-America Foundation Staff Service Day

KAF staff spent a day volunteering at the Walden Circle Community Center in Baltimore, MD. The Walden Circle Community Center is a community-based youth outreach program located in the Woodlawn neighborhood of Baltimore and is a longstanding partner of the Shriver Center at UMBC.

Kuwait-America Foundation Inducted Into Georgetown University's 1789 Society

The 1789 Society is Georgetown University's most prestigious fellowship, comprising individuals and organizations that are examples to the entire Georgetown family. Membership in the society recognizes Georgetown's most generous benefactors-individuals, families, corporations, foundations, and organizations that have contributed $1 million or more to the university. In 2013, KAF provided a generous gift to Georgetown, creating the Kuwait-America Foundation Endowed Scholarship Fund. The fund will enable students of great merit and promise from the Arab world to complete graduate studies at the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies within the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service.
