KAF Raises Another $1 Million for UNHCR

KAF has raised $1 million for UNHCR programs that empower women and girls. Funds will help refugee and displaced women receive social services, develop professional skills, find employment opportunities, obtain start-up grants, and use technology to connect with local and regional markets. It also will help give refugee girls greater access to education.

Kuwait-America Foundation Inducted Into Georgetown University's 1789 Society

The 1789 Society is Georgetown University's most prestigious fellowship, comprising individuals and organizations that are examples to the entire Georgetown family. Membership in the society recognizes Georgetown's most generous benefactors-individuals, families, corporations, foundations, and organizations that have contributed $1 million or more to the university. In 2013, KAF provided a generous gift to Georgetown, creating the Kuwait-America Foundation Endowed Scholarship Fund. The fund will enable students of great merit and promise from the Arab world to complete graduate studies at the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies within the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service.
