"Do the Write Thing" National Recognition Week
Over the past 13 years, the “Do the Write Thing” Challenge (DtWT), founded by the Kuwait-America Foundation, has established itself as a successful program aimed at reducing youth violence in schools and communities across the United States. Each year, KAF and NCSV honor the students who have accepted the Challenge by selecting two "National Finalists" from each participating city to come to Washington, D.C. for our National Reconition Week.
“Stand for Africa” Gala Dinner
The 2008 partnership between the Kuwait-America Foundation and Malaria No More is committed to the fight against malaria.
“Healing for Peace” Gala Dinner
In 2007, the Kuwait-America Foundation raised over $1.4 million to benefit Project HOPE and the development of the Basrah Children’s Hospital in Iraq, which will address the needs of Iraq’s most seriously ill and injured children, with a special focus on children with cancer.
“Bridges of Hope” Gala Dinner
In 2006, the Kuwait-America Foundation raised over $1.2 million to benefit UNICEF in its efforts to improve educational opportunities for children in Afghanistan, especially girls.
“A Tribute to Friendship” Gala Dinner
In 2005, the Kuwait-America Foundation raised over $1 million to benefit USA for UNHCR in its efforts to assist Iraqi refugees, mainly women and children, wishing to return home.
